Company Assessment & Overhaul

I worked with a national cause marketing agency in need of financial and end-to-end project execution overhaul.

I led a company-wide assessment to identify the primary pain points and led efforts to implement solutions. I partnered with the company owners on a complete restructuring of the company, and I introduced project management best practices while building a project management department from the ground up. I also evolved new business processes, from opportunity assessment through proposal drafting to completely revamping budget development.

I built custom forecasting tools to assess revenue and staffing needs, developed their first operating budget, and spear-headed recruiting and retention efforts as we built a top-notch team of specialized professionals better aligned with project requirements.

All of these efforts, and more, culminated in a 50% savings of monthly expenses, six-figure debt pay-off, and improved on-time project delivery. In addition, explosive revenue increases drove the need to double staff size, and as a result to retool the onboarding process to successfully incorporate new employees 100% remotely.

Project Management Implementation

I led the efforts to implement Workamajig for a national healthcare agency.

In the process of setting up the system, I worked with leadership to redefine how the work was being done. I also developed a RACI model of roles for key tasks.

Through the implementation process, I negotiated a new approach to accounting for the company, from billing to forecasting and everything in between.

All of these efforts culminated in the rollout of a tool with defined processes, exponentially greater efficiency in project planning and follow through, team empowerment to ensure simultaneous contract completion and client satisfaction, increased transparency of project performance metrics, and overall alignment with leadership goals and project execution.

Office Logistics & Workflow

I worked with a company that created handmade one-of-a-kind products. They were fortunate enough to experience significant growth quickly, which is tricky to navigate when selling custom products.

I overhauled their workflow from start to finish, created a custom tracking tool for them, retrained staff on efficiency best practices to maximize effort, identified additional resource needs, and collaborated with the team to re-evaluate the layout of the space to minimize shuffling and touches per project.

The cumulative effect of these efforts was a time savings for key personnel of almost 25% of the work week in unproductive shuffling, tracking elements down, and prioritizing projects.
